Use List Display Widgets to showcase your Lists on library or catalog homepages, LibGuides, or any other webpage. The kitchen can be overwhelming during the holiday season. Don’t fret, we have a Librarian Recommends: Lists full of comfort food and accomplishments from world-renowned chefs. It’s the most wonderful time of the year – or not – for those who host family and friends for the holidays. Gatherings imply an expectation of good food and reconnection, especially after the seclusion of the last few years. Lane Public Library recently created a Librarian Recommends: Lists that focuses on the memoirs and stories of chefs from all over the globe.

Step right up to win your next favorite book with the Librarian Recommends: Lists Makers Challenge! Our newest enrichment, Librarian Recommends: Lists, was created to help librarians boost catalog engagement and circulation in their libraries. Now, we’re giving librarians the chance to score a new book for their personal collection! The first 50 libraries that create and publish at least five lists1 by December 15, 2022, will automatically be entered into our Librarian Recommends: Lists Maker Challenge.
Today we’re pleased to announce Librarian Recommends: Lists—a new enrichment in Syndetics Unbound, free to subscribers, that allows librarians to curate lists within the catalog, showcasing topics, genres, staff picks, and more. Lists can also be showcased outside the catalog, on library or catalog homepages. Check it out in this quick video. By default, lists are shared between libraries, so your patrons can benefit from the expertise and creativity of librarians in thousands of libraries around the world.
