Syndetics Unbound - LibraryWorks 2021 Modern Library Award Winner

January 14, 2021

The Syndetics Unbound team is humbled and excited to announce our Platinum Award in the 2021 Modern Library Awards (MLAs) from LibraryWorks. This is the first time that Syndetics Unbound has been entered for an MLA, and we are thrilled to have been chosen for this award.

Jenny Newman, publisher and MLA program manager, said, “It’s hardly a surprise that Syndetics Unbound scored so well. They’ve been at the forefront of the industry since their company entered the market in 2016.”

The MLAs recognize the top products and services in the library industry. They’re judged by those with direct experience with the products or services in their institution, ensuring an unbiased rating.

Each judge scores their product on a scale from 1-10, answering a series of questions regarding functionality, value, customer service and more. Syndetics Unbound’s total score was 9.15 out of 10 and came with high praise from its judges.

“Having considered the competition on more than one occasion, the functionality and cost of [Syndetics] Unbound made selecting it a no brainer,” wrote one judge.

Another judge, whose library was an early user of the product, wrote about Syndetics Unbound’s consistent improvement over the past few years.

“Amazingly, the people at Syndetics Unbound have delivered innovation in [online public access catalog] (OPAC) enrichment, which has been around nearly as long as the world wide web or the web-enabled OPAC has. It’s hard to imagine, but the people behind Syndetics Unbound continue to innovate and find new ways to enrich the OPAC making it better for both our end users and our librarians. Who could ever ask for more?”

The Syndetics Unbound team is honored to be recognized for this MLA from LibraryWorks. As we begin a new year, the team is excited to continue working with customers and partners to provide the best technology and service possible to libraries. We are dedicated to growing the library experience for both librarians and their patrons and look forward to another great year of doing so.
